美國紐約曼尼斯音樂學院(Mannes School of Music) 大提琴演奏碩士,師從美國知名大提琴家Ronald Thomas。曾榮獲全額獎學金受邀參加國際湯公音樂節 Tanggong Music Festival、美國知名音樂節 Bowdoin Music Festival,和亞洲青年管弦樂團,並與國際知名大提琴家Steven Isserlis於亞洲多國城市巡迴演出、同年參與拍攝奧斯卡獎得主Ruby Yang楊紫燁導演所監導的亞青25週年紀錄片"In Search of Perfect Consonance"。參加目前為 Montclair Orchestra Fellowship 和擔任New York Regina Opera 大提琴首席,於紐約州進行多場演出迄今。今年9月回美國波士頓大學(Boston University) 攻讀博士學位。
Pin-Hsuan Chen, a Taiwanese cellist. she was born in Kaohsiung, Taiwan on November 14,1994.
In summer 2017, she has completed her Bachelor of Music Degree in Soochow University in Taipei, Taiwan. In 2019, she pursues her Master of Music Degree at Mannes School of Music under the tutelage of Ronald Thomas.
Pin-Hsuan enjoys a distinguished career as a soloist, chamber musician, music educator. Especially orchestra, she has led cello section of the Soochow University, Taipei Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. In addition, in august 2015, she also participated the Asian Youth Orchestra Festival and received the full scholarship. She tour with the international renowned cellist Steven Isserlis in the multinational city of Asia, participated in Oscar Award winner, Director Ruby Yang, Asia Youth 25th Anniversary Film, In Search of Perfect Consonance. In June 2017, she performed
in Soochow University Philharmonic Orchestra with 3 rd Tchaikovsky Violin International Competition Winner, Haik Kazazyan, at Taipei National Concert Hall.
In 2014, she was participated from International Academy of Music, Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, studied with winner of the silver medal at the 1986 International Tchaikovsky Competition, Suren Bagratuni. In 2017 summer, she won Taiwan National Student Music Competition group of the college for solo and string quartet. She also attended many cello Masterclass, and studied with Rhonada Rider, Moky Gisbson-Lane, Julia Lichten, Lluis Claret, Pei-Sian Ng, and Timmothy Eddy.
In 2008, she received second prize from The National Musical Competition of Baroque. In 2010, she won Taiwan Music Competition. In 2017, Pin-Hsuan gained the second prize of The Taiwan National Student Music Competition.
